OUR SERVICES
At Holmead Road Medical, we prioritise our patients health and wellness above all else. To be able to do this in the most successful and respectful way, we kindly ask all patients to consider what they expect out of a consult and prepare accordingly when booking it.
Majority of the time when you book an appointment with the doctor, the appointment is to discuss a smaller issue or two, or to get results from a test. This appointment is just booked in a smaller 15 minute slot. Issues that can be covered in a 15 minute slot include things such as a chest infection, sore knee, getting results, or requesting a referral.
However, there may come a time when you wish to see the doctor about multiple or a more advanced issues, you wish to have a minor procedure done in practice, or are looking to get a care plan done. These appointments either may require more time seeing the doctor, or time seeing the nurses beforehand or during. As you can understand, booking these appointments in incorrectly can cause the practice to run behind and impact other patients days.
At times, emergencies present that require our immediate and prolonged attention. If there is a delay in you being seen, please discuss with our receptionists, and they will be able to keep you informed on approximate wait times, offer you an appointment with another doctor or reschedule your appointment.
For more information on our services and the appointments required and recommended for them, please see below. If you need any help with clarification, billing, or booking these, please do not hesitate to contact our helpful receptionists on (07) 3188 7230.
