Dr Jesse de Vries

Dr Jesse de Vries graduated from the University of QLD in 2003, and after 8 years of hospital training moved into general practice in 2011, gaining my FRACGP in 2015 in Sydney. Since then I’ve been working my way around Australia staying with my family in a caravan. We spent the last two years in Tasmania but have returned home to Brisbane this year to reconnect with family and friends after two years of COVID lockdowns took their toll.

My hospital training has given me experience in multiple surgical specialties including general and pediatric surgery, urology and neurosurgery. I have also spent time in rheumatology, general medicine and geriatrics.

In General Practice I endeavor to always take time to ensure everything is properly explained to avoid miscommunication or misunderstanding, and hope my communication skills are enough to keep you in the center of your care.

Special interests include:

  • Assessment of surgical presentations including acute abdominal or back pains.
  • Headache and migraine management.
  • Skin cancer checks and excisions.
  • Men’s health especially male pattern baldness and erectile dysfunction.
